Koller Auktionen is a family business founded in 1958.  It is Switzerland's leading auction house and ranks among the world's ten most successful auction houses of today.

Koller Auktionen is internationally represented and has agencies in Munich, Shanghai and Paris as well as representatives in Austria, Belgium, Russia and Australia, employing over 55 qualified staff members.

Koller Auktionen is a member of International Auctioneers (IA), a partnership founded in 1993 consisting of eight renowned auctioneers from eight countries.

Since 1957 Galerie Walu has specialized in Africa's captivating Black cultures. Galerie Walu has established personal connections to the countries of origin as well as comprehensive knowledge in the ethnology and art history.  In addition, Galerie Walu has decades of practical experience in the african art market which has distinguished Galerie Walu since its foundation.

In the spring of 2002, Galerie Walu extended its core activities with standard auctions. The first three auctions were organized in-house and accomplished a promising line of business. A partnership with Koller Auktionen  was developed in 2003 which enabled Galerie Walu to further progress with its auctioning activity.
